How to lose weight?

Is everyone losing weight at the same rate? Sadly, no. Weight loss is individual and can be affected

by lots of physical, hormonal, and lifestyle factors. To be prepared for very different outcomes, we need to understand what affects the speed of losing weight.

Firstly

Age: older people experience more difficulties while trying to get rid of a few pounds. The body has less muscle mass and this affects metabolic rate.

Secondly

Gender: Generally, women have a harder time losing weight than men. Because women are smaller with less muscle mass.

How fast can I lose weight?

The recommendation of dietetics and nutritionist is one or two pounds per week. This might feel small but it is the best way to keep the weight off.

Losing too much weight in a very short time might involve some health issues. Some of them are; nutritional deficiencies, heart problems or sluggish metabolism. BUT…. if you really want to lose weight fast, is best to do it together with a specialist like a doctor or a nutritionist/dietician.

It is important to consider lifestyle factors, diet, and personal weight history.

Everyone is different and everyone went through different pathways in life. Therefore, everyone's body is so unique.

Let's not compare ourselves with other people.

Make the best plan for yourself and stick to it. Cooperate it into your lifestyle. Be prepared for bad days, but concentrate on your goal and listen to your body and needs. Take your time. If you need to lose quite a bit of weight, make sure to consult your ideas and goals with professionals.
