Guilt-Free Chocolate Protein Cake

Summer is finally here and long summer days make us crave something sweet. Therefore, we have something very delicious protein cake to share with you.

Let’s dive into the recipe to make this very yummy and soft protein cake. It’s time to grab your baking ingredients and get baking started.


INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED FOR THIS EASY LOW-CARB PROTEIN CAKE


It is a deliciously dense, sweet and guilt-free treat for your summer evening and here is what you will need to make it happen:

1 cup of oat flour

3/4 cup of protein powder

1/4 cup of cocoa powder

1 tsp of baking powder

1/2 tsp of baking soda

1 tbsp of maple syrup

9-10 drops of stevia (sugar alternative)

1/2 cup of almond milk

2 eggs

1/3 cup of applesauce

1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips



Let’s see the method to make it:


  1. Line a square or round cake pan with parchment paper, and grease the pan's sides with coconut oil. Preheat the oven to 180C.

  2. Add all the dry ingredients into the bowl and mix well. 1 cup oat flour, 3/4 cup protein powder, 1/4 cup cocoa powder, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda

  3. Add all the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until combined. 1 tbsp maple syrup, 9-10 drops stevia, 1/2 cup almond milk, 2 eggs, 1/3 cup applesauce

  4. Pour batter into the cake pan and spread evenly. Bake for 15-20 minutes until inserted toothpick comes out clean.

  5. Take 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips. Melt chocolate in a double boiler or the microwave. To melt in the microwave in a small bowl, heat for 30 seconds on medium power, stir, heat for 30 seconds on medium power, stir and repeat until all the chocolate is melted. Pour chocolate over the cake and spread it nicely.
