Go jogging, walk the dog, do gardening, play sports, cycle or swim, it all counts, by all means try new things!

But keep a record of that because excessive aerobic exercises can increase the production of the Cortisol hormone - it's a stress-causing hormone.

As people get older, it's really important to take care of the muscles that move the weight. The more we pick things up, the stronger our muscles get. It's vital for folks after they turn 50 to do some resistance training.
